Job description

Talon Hiring has a client in the Sylacauga, AL area that is looking for a self-driven IT Support Specialist to manage day-to-day technology support for facilities in Alabama and Mississippi. This role combines remote troubleshooting with hands-on support for desktops, laptops, printers, Microsoft 365, and Active Directory in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently, prioritizing support tickets, coordinating with vendors, and providing excellent customer service with minimal onsite supervision from the IT Director based in Texas.

What you will do:

  • Manage and resolve IT support tickets for approximately 90 endpoints
  • Provide onsite hardware and workstation support across Alabama facilities
  • Support employee onboarding/ off boarding, account setup, and hardware deployment
  • Troubleshoot Windows OS, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, printers, and network connectivity issues
  • Coordinate with third-party vendors and assist with infrastructure improvements
  • Provide occasional support for Mississippi and remote support for Houston locations

What you will bring:

  • 3+ years of IT support experience
  • Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft 365, and Active Directory
  • Hands-on hardware troubleshooting experience
