Job description

About Rune

Rune Technologies builds mission-critical software for military logistics and sustainment. Our flagship product is TyrOS, an AI-enabled logistics command and control platform that gives commanders a single, real-time operating picture of their sustainment fight, from inventory and distribution to medical and operational planning, even in degraded and contested environments.

We're not a traditional defense contractor. We're a small, fast-moving team that combines deep operational experience in and with the DoD with the software discipline of the best product companies, and we apply that combination to a customer set that desperately needs it. We stay close to our users by embedding directly with military units during exercises and rotations, and we ship constantly based on what we learn.

The U.S. military and its allies face a real logistics modernization problem. We're building the software to solve it.

This role is ideal for someone with a strong IT support background who is looking to expand into systems administration and IT operations.

The ideal candidate is curious, dependable, and enjoys helping others. They take ownership of problems, communicate clearly, and are eager to expand their technical skills while contributing to a collaborative IT team. • Assist with endpoint management using Mobile Device Management (MDM) platforms, including macOS device management.

  • Monitor and maintain endpoint compliance, software deployments, and security configurations.

  • Perform hardware inventory management, asset tracking, and lifecycle management.

  • Troubleshoot networking issues involving Wi‑Fi, VPN connectivity, DNS, DHCP, and endpoint connectivity.

  • Support SaaS application administration, onboarding, and offboarding processes.

  • Create and maintain IT documentation, standard operating procedures, and knowledge base articles.

  • Participate in security initiatives including patch management, endpoint protection, and security awareness.

  • Escalate complex issues when appropriate while maintaining excellent communication with end users.

  • Assist with IT projects, infrastructure improvements, and process automation initiatives.

Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in an IT support, Help Desk, Desktop Support, or IT Operations role.

  • Experience administering Microsoft 365, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and user management.

  • Experience supporting and managing macOS devices in a business environment.

  • Familiarity with Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions for endpoint administration.

  • Understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and wireless networking.-Useful for wifi issues

  • Basic understanding of firewall concepts, network security principles, and access control.

  • Experience with endpoint management, software deployment, and device lifecycle management.

  • Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, operating systems, and cloud applications.

  • Excellent customer service, communication, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to prioritize multiple requests while maintaining attention to detail.

Desired Qualifications
