Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Desktop Support Technician with strong customer service skills to work at the Little Sandy Correctional Complex in Sandy Hook, KY. This position provides support to DOC staff within the Correctional Complex (approx. 275 devices) & will also interact or be among prison inmates as they are used for work detail, etc.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide desktop support for devices including tablets, desktops, laptops, printers, copiers, and phones.
  • Assist with troubleshooting and maintenance of security cameras, servers, and network switches as needed.
  • Ensure all IT issues are resolved promptly and efficiently.
  • Adhere to DOC policies while working in a correctional environment, interacting with both staff and inmates.
  • Participate in mandatory training, including a three-week orientation on prison-specific protocols and general employee orientation. The training covers how to work, adapt, and conduct yourself in a prison atmosphere.

Skills:
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in desktop support, including troubleshooting and maintenance of various devices (tablets, desktops, laptops, printers, and phones).
  • Familiarity with security cameras, servers, and network switches is a plus.
  • Strong customer service skills and the ability to work professionally in a correctional facility environment.
  • Ability to pass a DOC background check and extensive drug screening.
