Description

The Sales Engineer is responsible for providing technical support to Regional Sales Managers and Sales Representatives, reviewing customer specifications, assisting in determining and understanding customer needs, and generating quotes. The Sales Engineer's main objective is to increase revenue and boost customer acquisition and retention.


Key Responsibilities:

Analyze and interpret customer specifications in Requests for Quotations (RFQs) and prepares both technical and commercial proposals.

Maintain accurate records in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Software.

Notify the Business of all new order placements in a timely manner.

Coordinate with the Regional Sales Managers and Sales Representatives to provide quotations, answer technical questions, and convert open opportunities into sales orders.

Work closely with the Director of Sales & Marketing to ensure the proper and accurate coverage of specific customer accounts.

Collaborate with the Supply Chain Management Department to ensure that pricing structures are appropriate.

Collaborate with the Engineering Department to ensure that orders are accurate, and specifications are met.

Collaborate with other members of the Sales & Marketing department, as well as external Sales Representatives to establish additional avenues for acquiring new customers and plans for meeting order intake goals.

Periodically participate in industry events, including conferences and trade shows, to network and promote the Company's products.


Qualifications:

Required

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.

Technical, analytical, and electrical aptitude.

Preferred

2-3 years' Sales and/or Customer Service experience.

Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software experience.
