Job Overview
The Sales Engineer is a key member of the experienced and solutions-driven Solutions Group team. This role partners closely with the Sales team to support opportunities from an informational and concept development perspective. Leveraging strong industry expertise and technical knowledge, the Sales Engineer manages internal and external project expectations from early-stage opportunities through project completion.
The outcome of the Sales Engineer's efforts is a fully defined and executable build plan for internal project teams. In some instances, this role may also assume end-to-end project management responsibility, overseeing delivery from initial concept through final execution.
This is a salaried, non-commission-based position.
What You'll Do
  • Direct and manage client communications, influencing decisions toward optimal LIVE• TEAM solutions through demonstrated best practices and technical expertise.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with LIVE• TEAM subject matter experts and teams-including Sales, Estimating, Project Planning, Graphic & Mechanical Design, and Contracts-to develop comprehensive and executable project build plans.
  • Evaluate project solutions against client requirements, site conditions, and survey findings to accurately define manufacturing and installation needs, leading project efforts through contract execution.
  • Develop detailed project schedules and timelines covering manufacturing, delivery, and installation phases.
  • Define and scope project deliverables aligned with LIVE• TEAM's offerings.
  • Manage vendor, partner, and subcontractor estimates and pricing.
  • Provide regular status updates on pre-contract projects to internal stakeholders.
  • Partner closely with internal teams to ensure delivery of high-quality projects within established timelines.
  • Conduct off-site activities as required, including site surveys, installation or dismantle oversight, and client walkthroughs.
  • Travel is required and may be moderate too heavy at times

  • Demonstrated project management experience managing budgets ranging from $5,000 to $2.5M+.
  • Flexibility to meet project and customer demands, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5-7 years of experience in project management, architectural signage, agency environments, and/or experiential marketing projects.
  • 3-5 years of technical project management experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience leading change management initiatives or delivery system rollouts.
  • Strong knowledge of best practices for print production and fabrication projects.
  • Experience with computer-aided design software (Rhino, AutoCAD, Illustrator, SketchUp, etc.) preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications; experience with Smartsheet and ERP systems is a plus.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
  • Regular interaction within sales, manufacturing, and operations environments is required.
  • Frequent travel is required.
