Position Overview
Southall Church is a healthy, multiplying church in Franklin, TN with a vision to bring the life of Jesus to our families, neighbors and nations. We are seeking a Next Gen Director to lead and develop our student and young adult ministries, aligning teams and equipping leaders to disciple the next generation.
Role Summary
The Next Gen Director will define and drive the vision for middle school through young adult ministries, ensuring alignment, collaboration, and a clear discipleship pathway across every stage. They will build and equip leaders to help the next generation follow Jesus, be transformed by Him, and live on mission.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide directional leadership for all middle school-young adult ministries of Southall Church to achieve desire goals.
  • Ensure that Next Gen ministries are in alignment with our mission and vision and that the experiences and environments are consistent and excellent.
  • Responsible for the Young Adults ministry including, but not limited to teaching, leading with vision, oversite of volunteers and pastoral care.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive discipleship strategy with clear and accessible next steps that moves students from "attender" to "fully engaged" to "disciple-maker".
  • Responsible for the oversight and success of all Next Gen events (Middle and High School, Young Adults, Camps, Volunteer Training, etc).
  • Meet with the Next Gen teams weekly to discuss ministry needs, giving them insight and direction for planning, implementing and developing systems.
  • Maintain budget for Next Gen Ministries and ensure it is stewarded wisely.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Demonstrated mature Christian character and personal commitment to Jesus Christ.
  • Proven experience leading or serving in student, young adult, or Next Gen ministry contexts.
  • Strong relational skills with the ability to connect with students, young adults, leaders, and families.
  • Experience developing, equipping, and pastoring volunteers and emerging leaders.
  • Ability to collaborate across teams and break down silos to create alignment across age groups.

SCHEDULE: Sunday - Thursday
HOURS: 40 (must be available for special events, church meetings, etc)
COMPENSATION: TBD
STAFF LEVEL: Director: reports to the Pastor of Ministries
