Salesforce Pre-Sales Solution Architect

NTT DATA is seeking a highly experienced Salesforce Pre-Sales Solution Architect to join our Salesforce Practice. This is a strategic, client-facing individual contributor role responsible for partnering with sales executives, account teams, and delivery leaders to shape and win complex enterprise Salesforce opportunities.

The ideal candidate combines deep Salesforce platform expertise with strong consultative selling skills, executive presence, and the ability to translate business challenges into compelling technology solutions. This individual will play a key role in driving revenue growth, developing go-to-market strategies, leading solution design activities, and positioning NTT DATA as a trusted Salesforce transformation partner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with Client Executives, Sales Leaders, and Account Teams to qualify, shape, and win enterprise Salesforce opportunities.
  • Serve as the lead solution architect during the sales cycle, developing innovative and scalable Salesforce-based solutions aligned to client business objectives.
  • Lead discovery sessions, executive workshops, and solution strategy discussions with customer stakeholders.
  • Create compelling business cases and value propositions that demonstrate measurable business outcomes and ROI.
  • Support sales pursuits from initial qualification through proposal development, contract negotiations, and transition to delivery.
Solution Architecture & Consulting
  • Design end-to-end Salesforce solution architectures across multiple Salesforce Clouds and adjacent technologies.
  • Evaluate business requirements and recommend solution approaches that align with customer goals, technical standards, and implementation best practices.
  • Develop high-level architecture diagrams, solution designs, effort estimates, and implementation roadmaps.
  • Collaborate with delivery teams to ensure proposed solutions are feasible, scalable, and aligned with implementation methodologies.
  • Provide technical and business consultative leadership for large-scale digital transformation initiatives.
Pre-Sales Excellence
  • Develop and deliver executive presentations, solution demonstrations, and industry-specific use cases.
  • Build customized Salesforce demonstrations that showcase business value and competitive differentiation.
  • Facilitate seamless handoffs from sales to delivery teams while maintaining continuity and client confidence.
  • Identify risks, assumptions, dependencies, and implementation considerations during the pursuit process.
Industry & Executive Engagement
  • Engage senior client stakeholders to understand business priorities and transformation objectives.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of industry trends, business drivers, regulatory considerations, and customer experience strategies.
  • Identify industry-specific opportunities to leverage Salesforce solutions for business transformation.
  • Provide strategic guidance on technology investments, customer engagement models, and digital modernization initiatives.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 6+ years of Salesforce consulting, solution architecture, or pre-sales experience.
  • 3+ years supporting enterprise sales pursuits and complex solution engagements.
  • 3+ years of deep expertise across Salesforce platform capabilities and cloud solutions.
  • 3+ years of experience architecting enterprise-scale CRM, customer experience, and digital transformation programs.
  • Strong knowledge of solution estimation, proposal development, and statement of work creation.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Salesforce certifications such as:
    • Salesforce Certified Application Architect
    • Salesforce Certified System Architect
    • Salesforce Certified Technical Architect (CTA)
    • Salesforce Certified Sales Cloud Consultant
    • Salesforce Certified Service Cloud Consultant
    • Salesforce Certified Experience Cloud Consultant
  • Experience with Salesforce Data Cloud, Agentforce, Marketing Cloud, MuleSoft, Commerce Cloud, or Industry Clouds.
  • Experience leading pursuits exceeding $1M in Total Contract Value (TCV).
  • Knowledge of AI-enabled customer engagement and digital transformation strategies.
  • Experience across multiple industries including healthcare, financial services, insurance, manufacturing, communications, retail, or public sector.
