PRIMARY FUNCTION:
The Sales Analyst is a core member of the Yield Management & Analytics team responsible for providing actionable sales insights and operational improvements. This role partners closely with Sales leadership to develop and deliver performance analytics, identify revenue and productivity opportunities, and implement data-driven process enhancements. The position requires strong analytical and data management skills, along with the ability to translate complex findings into clear recommendations and influence decision-making. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, disciplined in process execution, and an effective communicator and cross-functional collaborator.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Responsible for the continued development and maintenance of all Sales organization performance reports, including:
  • Sales activities and KPIs
  • Sales pipeline and deal stage health
  • Conversion, pull-through and churn
  • Attainment to quota and gap-to-goal
  • Partner with Sales management to interpret performance metrics and translate insights into specific behaviors and actions that improve sales productivity
  • Participate in pipeline reviews with Sales staff and leadership serving as a subject matter expert and independent, data-driven source of truth
  • Collaborate with Marketing to measure and report ROI for lead-generation programs
  • Identify gaps and inefficiencies in Sales processes and tools; develop and present clear, actionable recommendations for improvement
  • Support the development, rollout, and administration of Sales Incentive Compensation programs (e.g., commission plans)
  • Prepare and deliver sales performance reports and for executive and senior leadership
  • Contribute to the annual general rate increase process and other Yield Management and Sales Ops initiatives
  • Develop ad hoc reports as requested by leadership
  • Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures
  • Perform other duties as required

FUNCTIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree required with preferred field of study in Business, Mathematics, Logistics, Economics, or quantitative discipline
  • 3-5 years of experience in quantitative or analytics-focused role (e.g. Sales Ops Analyst, Sales Planning Analyst, Sales Enablement Analyst, Business Intelligence Analyst, or related discipline)
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, proficient in PowerPoint and Word
  • Proficiency with SQL, including querying, data extraction and basic transformation
  • Experience using CRM platforms to develop reports and dashboards and/or configure workflows, page layouts, or record types (Salesforce or comparable CRM preferred)
  • Experience in logistics or service-based industries preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, prioritize and manage multiple projects
  • Proven ability to produce clear, concise reports tailored for the appropriate audience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High degree of professionalism, integrity and judgment when handling sensitive or confidential information
  • Eagerness to learn, grow, and have a major impact on business performance
  • Willingness to travel to other company offices or facilities within the US (less than 10% travel)
  • May be required to perform tasks beyond those explicitly listed in this role

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to work 40 hours per week or more if required
