Position Overview:

As the largest food & beverage company in the world, we sell over a billion products every day. Nestle's sales team is the driving force behind every unit sold, focused on building strong categories by delighting our consumers while representing Nestle's iconic brands with our retail partners.

The Sales Analytics team is the analytical intelligence engine that powers our sales team. The insights, data, and analytical expertise that our Sales Analysts provide shape our strategic business decisions and equip our sales team to meet our consumer needs and drive category growth. As a Coffee & Beverage Sales Analyst, you'll be an integral member of our Walmart & Sam's Club account team, collaborating with Customer Account Manager(s) to meet our collective sales objectives and drive market share for Nestle's brands.

Key Responsibilities:

The Sales Analyst is the analytical expert for the customer team they support. Analysts advise our sales team by leading the facilitation of best-in-class data, insights, reporting, and analysis. Key responsibilities include:

  • Proactively generate actionable insights that support the current business needs, inform strategic decisions, and drive profitable brand and category performance.
  • Provide analytical recommendations and identify opportunities through the utilization of syndicated data (Circana, Nielsen, point of sale) and other data resources.
  • Exhibit category expertise by maintaining a comprehensive understanding of the category and the broader business landscape.
  • Utilize data visualization and effective storytelling to help build sales presentations.
  • Build & maintain 4P reporting & tools that are essential to the day-to-day operation of Nestle's customer account teams.
  • Pull data for ad hoc analysis from various sources including syndicated data, retailer platforms, and internal resources.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 18 months of experience in retail sales or a related sales environment with a focus on sales reporting and analytics.
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution or equivalent professional experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and Teams
  • Intermediate/advanced skill in Excel (Xlookups, pivots, etc.)
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and time-management abilities
  • Excellent customer service orientation and interpersonal skills
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly
  • High level of organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Comprehensive understanding of 4P sales fundamentals

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Analytical Experience: Understanding data, building reports, and conducting analysis
  • Experience with syndicated data sources (e.g., Circana, Nielsen) and data visualization techniques.
  • Background in CPG or retail, with experience working in large format grocery & mass channels.
  • Track record of successfully achieving Key Performance Indicator (KPI) objectives in previous roles.
  • Proactive and results-oriented mindset, with the ability to challenge existing processes, influence stakeholders without direct authority, and identify opportunities that extend beyond the defined role.
