The Demand Forecast Analyst makes an impact by -

The Demand Forecast Analyst is responsible for supporting the Sr Manager of Sales Planning and Demand in the demand forecasting process by creating forecasts, monitoring performance and maintaining master demand infrastructure. This role will help facilitate collaboration between sales, customer service, supply chain, and finance through insight driven reporting.

  • Assist in the development of an analytically based demand/sales forecast across multiple product lines throughout the planning cycles (Annually and Quarterly)
  • Update stakeholders on weekly progress versus demand forecast through both standard and ad-hoc reporting (Latest Estimate)
  • Identify and assess risks, opportunities, and other insights and implications to the demand forecast related to shipments, consumption, and customer inventories
  • Partner with sales team to capture insights such as future promotional activity/trade spend, competitive activity, and market data that impacts the demand forecast
  • Support demand manager in maintaining master demand files and reporting infrastructure
  • Partner with supply team as they develop a production forecast
  • Support development of portfolio plans, including new item and seasonal product launches and discontinuations
  • Assist in maintaining select master data like customer and product hierarchies
  • Compile 3rd party shipment data (distributors) and publish reports for sales team
  • Assist in maintaining demand forecast data on SharePoint
  • Perform all duties within established Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and FSMA guidelines as well as all safety regulations
  • Comply with Safe Quality Foods (SQF) food safety and quality standards
  • Perform all other duties as assigned
