Payroll Analyst - Los Angeles, CA


The Payroll Analyst will prepare and process semi-monthly and bi-weekly payroll for 350+ employees across multiple entities, not limited to just domestic but including international payroll. Duties to also include, but not be limited to: deducting garnishments, maintaining vacation/sick/personal accruals, preparing journal entries, etc.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


Prepare and process semi-monthly and bi-weekly payroll for multiple entities

Process employee and benefit deduction changes within ADP Workforce now /Payroll system

Review in detail all changes and transactions before and after payroll is transmitted

Prepare payroll journal entries

Design and/or prepare various statistical summaries and reports for management utilizing excel & ADP Workforce Now

Prepare final checks and assist with exit interview process and procedures

Keep abreast of international, federal and multi-state laws

Assist with special ad-hoc reports, department and compliance audits as needed

Assist with Year-end bonus process

Assist with OSHA and EEO-1 filings

Provide timely follow-up regarding employees questions

Assist with special research projects

Actively participate in departmental staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars as needed

Accrual Calculations

Perform quality control on employee files

Qualifications:


Minimum of 4 year of experience processing payroll

Minimum of 2 years of experience working with accounting in a corporate environment

Human Resources experience in a corporate environment preferred

Experience with ADP Workforce Now a MUST

CPP Certification is a plus

Prior experience with HRIS database

Knowledge of multi-state and international payroll

Proficient with Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office tools including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook

Superb accuracy and attention to detail

Excellent organizational skills
