Job Description
Our client, a prominent healthcare organization committed to delivering exceptional patient care and operational excellence, is hiring a Payroll Tax Analyst. In this pivotal role, the Payroll Tax Analyst will be responsible for ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax laws, managing payroll tax filings, and maintaining accurate records of tax payments and registrations. The analyst will work closely with tax service providers and the treasury department to facilitate timely and precise tax payments, oversee year-end W-2 and 1042 processing, and assist with audits and tax inquiries. Staying current with legislative changes affecting payroll taxes and supporting foreign national employee tax matters are also key components of the position.
Responsibilities

· Stay informed on legislative updates affecting payroll/tax compliance.

· Review federal, state, and local payroll tax returns, estimates, and reconciliations.

· Research and resolve notices from IRS and other tax authorities.

· Manage tax ID registrations, amendments, and filings related to payroll taxes.

· Collaborate with tax service providers and treasury to ensure accurate tax payments.

· Support all aspects of W-2 and 1042 year-end processing.

· Assist with tax-related tasks for foreign national employees.

· Participate in internal and external tax audits.

· Respond to employee tax inquiries via Salesforce cases and team inboxes.

· Continuously audit employee tax records to correct errors.

· Maintain relationships with tax vendors.

· Assist with system testing for payroll tax updates.

Requirements

· Bachelor’s Degree required.

· 3-5 years of relevant payroll tax experience.

· Strong understanding of payroll practices, policies, and procedures.

· Excellent research capabilities and attention to detail.

· Proficiency with payroll systems such as PeopleSoft.
