Job description

Senior Payroll Tax Analyst

Job Number: 262052 • Full-time Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. • Shift: 1st Shift

Schneider is seeking a Senior Payroll Tax Analyst in Green Bay, WI to ensure Schneider stays compliant with laws and regulations regarding pay. The Senior Payroll Analyst will design and implement new payroll and time‑keeping processes to ensure accurate and timely pay.

Responsibilities
  • Participate in system upgrades, new application implementations, system patches and process improvements.
  • Provide customer support for issues that arise.
  • Identify system improvement opportunities that improve accuracy and efficiency.
  • Ensure timely preparation and submission of payroll tax filings.
  • Resolve complex payroll issues through troubleshooting, researching and communicating with the necessary parties in a timely manner.
  • Lead quarterly and annual audits.
  • Implement, support and review quarterly and year‑end balancing processes.
  • Reconcile and respond to tax agency notices by working with third‑party vendors.
  • Write payroll reports.
Skills and qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business or finance.
  • FPC or CPP preferred.
  • Four to six years of payroll experience.
  • Financial analysis experience preferred.
  • Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
