Job description

Job Title: Tax Examiner

Are you detail-oriented and comfortable working with numbers? This is a great opportunity to build a long-term career with the State while gaining hands-on experience with tax processes and regulations.

Job Responsibilities

  • Process tax applications, claims, and account modifications with accuracy.
  • Set up new tax licenses, special requests, and account updates.
  • Manually enter and verify data from mailed applications.
  • Utilize internal tax systems to review, update, and maintain customer records.
  • Ensure data integrity while working with financial information.

Desired Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in a financial, banking, billing, or payroll environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and comfort working with numbers and financial data.
  • Experience with data entry, processing claims, or high-volume transactions.
  • High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
