Tax Examiner

Location: Colorado Springs, CO - ONSITE

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM (100% Onsite)

Employment Type: Full-Time, 40 Hours per Week

About the Opportunity

We are seeking detail-oriented professionals to join the team as Tax Examiners. This position is ideal for candidates with experience in banking, financial services, payroll, billing, accounting support, claims processing, or other roles involving financial data and high levels of accuracy. You will play a key role in processing tax-related applications and maintaining accurate customer records while providing professional customer service.

Responsibilities
  • Process tax applications, claims, requests, and account modifications.
  • Establish new tax licenses and process special tax requests.
  • Update customer accounts, including address changes and account information.
  • Manually enter information from mailed applications into internal systems.
  • Review financial and tax-related information for completeness and accuracy.
  • Utilize internal databases to research, maintain, and update customer records.
  • Assist customers with questions and transactions during scheduled appointments.
  • Ensure compliance with established policies, procedures, and regulations.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 2+ years of experience in a financial, banking, billing, payroll, accounting, claims processing, or similar environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Comfortable working with numbers, financial records, and large volumes of information.
  • Strong computer and data entry skills.
  • Professional customer service and communication abilities.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Previous experience working with financial records, tax-related information, or regulatory processes preferred.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.43 - $25.43/hr.
