Job Responsibilities

  • Prepare individual, trust, gift, partnership, corporate, and S corporation tax returns, extensions, and quarterly estimated tax payments for entertainment industry clients and their related entities.

  • Prepare tax workpapers and supporting schedules while ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.

  • Reconcile retained earnings, analyze general ledger activity, and prepare journal entries to support tax return preparation.

  • Prepare year-end tax projections and assist with year-end close-out activities for loan-out corporations and other entertainment industry entities.

  • Develop technical tax knowledge related to business management, entertainment, music, touring, athletes, and high-net-worth clients.

  • Review federal and state tax notices and assist with preparing responses to taxing authorities.

  • Assist in gathering documentation and preparing information for governmental audits and tax examinations.

  • Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules for business management clients, including recording investment activity and reconciling brokerage accounts, where applicable.

  • Assist with tax planning projects, tax research, and other client advisory engagements.

  • Collaborate with business managers, accountants, and other internal team members to deliver timely, high-quality client service.

  • Manage multiple client engagements and deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Continue developing technical tax, accounting, and professional skills through ongoing learning and training.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Tax, Finance, or related field or equivalent experience required.

  • Minimum of 1 year of U.S. tax consulting and/or compliance experience in a public accounting environment.

  • Experience preparing or assisting with individual, partnership, corporate, or trust tax returns.

  • Commitment to delivering exceptional client service.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Accounting or Taxation.

  • CPA eligible or actively pursuing CPA licensure.

  • Exposure to entertainment industry clients, business management clients, high-net-worth individuals, or closely held businesses.

  • Familiarity with loan-out corporations, multi-entity tax structures, or entertainment industry accounting.

  • Experience with tax preparation and research software.

Certain states require us to disclose the pay range and benefits summary for job openings. For Colorado residents, the compensation range for this position: $61,000 - $83,100. For Washington residents, Illinois residents, New York residents, and Southern California residents, the compensation range for this position: $67,100 - $91,400. For Northern California residents, the compensation range for this position: $70,100 - $95,500. Compensation may vary based on skills, role, and location. Eligible employees at certain levels can participate in a discretionary long-term financial incentive plan, subject to plan participation rules.
