Job Title: Payroll Systems Analyst
Job Description

The Payroll Systems Analyst will serve as a functional expert in the payroll technology ecosystem, focusing on Oracle and UKG systems. This role involves collaborating with IT and Payroll leadership to evaluate system enhancements, troubleshoot issues, and support configuration changes. The analyst will also be responsible for translating business needs into functional requirements and supporting various system activities such as upgrades, patches, and integrations.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a functional expert for Oracle and UKG payroll technologies.
  • Partner with IT and Payroll leadership to evaluate and implement system enhancements.
  • Translate business needs into functional requirements, user stories, and test cases.
  • Manage system upgrades, patches, integrations, and data validation activities.
  • Analyze and maintain union-related payroll data for accurate and timely reporting.
  • Collaborate with Payroll and Labor Relations teams to interpret union agreements.
  • Monitor compliance with union reporting standards and streamline processes.
  • Assist with payroll tax configuration, audits, and reconciliations across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Partner with Payroll Tax specialists to ensure system accuracy for tax rates and regulatory changes.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance payroll workflows and system efficiency.
  • Develop dashboards, metrics, and reporting tools for decision making and compliance.
  • Facilitate cross-functional discussions to align on process changes.
  • Lead or support user acceptance testing (UAT) for payroll system changes.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for processes, configurations, and reporting requirements.
  • Train payroll team members on new system features, tools, or processes.
Essential Skills
  • 5+ years of analytical payroll experience.
  • Experience with Oracle systems.
  • Data analysis and pivot table proficiency.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience with UKG is a nice to have.
Work Environment

This role is based in a shared service location that houses the majority of Accounting and Finance functions. The Payroll Systems Analyst will work closely with Union Reporting, Payroll Tax, and Payroll System Analysts. The payroll team is large, supporting nearly 10,000 employees, and focuses on various specialized areas such as timecard processing and prevailing wages. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Minneapolis, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $55.00/hr.
