Job description

We are looking for an interim Sr Payroll Systems Analyst to support payroll technology and timekeeping operations in a manufacturing environment based in Irving, Texas. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for a functional business analyst who brings deep experience with Kronos, payroll configuration, and complex pay rule administration. The role will help maintain accurate payroll processing, strengthen timekeeping performance, and partner with cross-functional teams on system support, analysis, and ongoing improvements.

This is a 12-month contract position

100% ONSITE in Irving, Texas

Must have strong Kronos experience or similar timekeeping system experience


Interim Sr Payroll Systems Analyst (Kronos):

Responsibilities:

โ€ข Lead functional support for Kronos and related payroll systems, serving as a primary resource for configuration, issue analysis, and operational stability.

โ€ข Build, adjust, and troubleshoot pay rules and calculation logic to ensure employees are paid accurately across varied schedules and earning scenarios.

โ€ข Oversee timeclock administration, including setup, maintenance, testing, and resolution of device-related or transaction issues.

โ€ข Review and resolve payroll and timekeeping support requests, investigating root causes and driving timely corrective action.

โ€ข Support payroll activity involving union-based schedules and complex rule structures while helping maintain compliance with established agreements and policies.

โ€ข Create and maintain clear system documentation, process guides, and troubleshooting references to strengthen team knowledge and continuity.

โ€ข Work closely with payroll, accounting, HR, and IT partners to improve data quality, reporting, and day-to-day system effectiveness.

โ€ข Provide validated timekeeping and payroll system data to implementation partners and assist with readiness activities tied to future Oracle-related initiatives.

โ€ข Use Excel to analyze payroll results, reconcile data discrepancies, validate system outputs, and assist with audit support.

โ€ข At least 5 years of experience in payroll systems analysis, payroll operations support, or workforce timekeeping administration.
โ€ข Strong practical experience with Kronos, including configuration, troubleshooting, and day-to-day support of timekeeping processes.
โ€ข Demonstrated ability to design, maintain, and diagnose pay calculations within Kronos or a comparable workforce management platform.
โ€ข Working knowledge of payroll processing workflows in ADP or similar payroll applications.
โ€ข Experience supporting union payroll environments with multiple schedule types and detailed pay rule structures.
โ€ข Solid Excel skills for data analysis, reconciliations, validation, and reporting activities.
โ€ข Strong analytical, documentation, and ticket management abilities with a consistent focus on accuracy and follow-through.
โ€ข Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders as well as external implementation partners.
