Company is helping our client find an Instructional Designer to join the Operations Training team.
In this role, you’ll translate complex business needs into engaging, effective learning solutions in partnership with subject matter experts and cross-functional stakeholders. You’ll design and deliver impactful training programs that enable teams to operate and service products efficiently and at scale.
The ideal candidate is an experienced instructional designer with a strong foundation in adult learning principles, a sharp eye for content quality, and the ability to create scalable, high-impact learning experiences.
A portfolio of instructional design work samples is required for this role. Please include examples that demonstrate your approach to content design, learner experience, and instructional strategy.
As an Instructional Designer, you'll:
  • Design and develop learning content aligned with instructional design best practices and business objectives. 
  • Partner with subject matter experts and cross-functional teams to create blended learning experiences, including instructor-led (ILT), virtual (vILT), and eLearning solutions. 
  • Develop interactive and engaging digital learning content using modern authoring tools, with a focus on clarity, structure, and learner experience. 
  • Update and enhance existing training materials to improve engagement, effectiveness, and SCORM compliance. 
  • Evaluate training effectiveness and implement iterative improvements to drive measurable learning outcomes. 
  • Create content that aligns with brand standards, style guides, and instructional consistency. 
  • Identify opportunities to streamline content development processes and improve production efficiency. 
  • Collaborate with technical stakeholders, including product experts, service teams, and program managers, to align training with operational priorities. 
  • Facilitate planning sessions and translate stakeholder input into clear instructional strategies and deliverables. 
  • Travel up to 15% as needed to support training initiatives across business locations.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to co-create dynamic curricula for live classrooms, workshops, and e-learning experiences, utilizing AGILE methodologies for continuous improvement and flexibility.
  • Develop interactive and immersive online learning experiences using advanced eLearning authoring tools.
  • Focus on content structure, clarity, and effective writing to collaborate seamlessly with eLearning developers.
  • Update and/or re-author current online learning experiences with a focus on learner engagement and SCORM compliance.
  • Regularly assess training solutions for quality, scalability, and impact on learner behavior and business objectives, implementing iterative improvements to drive measurable outcomes.
  • Create content that adheres to company brand guidelines and style guides.
  • Work with evolving templates and tools, and look for ways to streamline eLearning production and shorten development times while maintaining quality and impact.
  • Collaborate closely with technical cross-functional stakeholders, including product technical experts, service leaders, program managers, and operators, to align training content with strategic priorities.
  • Facilitate planning sessions and synthesize input from multiple leaders into clear, actionable instructional strategies.
  • Travel up to 15% of the time across business sites based on business needs.

Qualifications
  • 6-8 years of instructional design experience, with a focus on blended learning- OLT, ILT, and vILT.
  • Autonomous Vehicle and/or Operations training experience preferred but not required.
  • Strong conceptual design skills with the ability to visualize and articulate instructional flows and learner experiences.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment with frequent change and limited oversight.
  • Strong communicator and creative problem solver who brings curiosity, clarity, and empathy to learning design.
  • Experience creating learning evaluation plans. Working knowledge of eLearning authoring tools, such as Articulate 360 (Rise & Storyline), Camtasia or Google Video, Vyond, Canva, and the Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology or related field. Portfolio of ID work samples required
