Job description

Matrix International, Inc. is seeking mission oriented, experienced candidates for the position of Collection Manager in Northern Virginia. The position requires an active TS/SCI security clearance and Polygraph. The position requires an extensive knowledge of the Intelligence Community (IC) and its objectives, and preference will be given to candidates with experience managing or supporting Human Intelligence (HUMINT) operations or conducting all-source intelligence analysis. Candidates will be expected to work effectively in team environments as well as independently with minimal supervision and will professionally and effectively interact with client personnel at all levels.
The primary function of a Collection Manager is to research, develop, draft, coordinate, monitor, and task complex HUMINT collection requirements. Collection Managers will evaluate reports for completeness, validity, relevance, and quality and support the identification of targets of operational interest while providing collection guidance and identifying any reporting concerns. Collection Managers will also review, coordinate, and approve report dissemination and provide guidance on report writing tradecraft.
Successful Collection Managers will demonstrate the ability to develop and use advanced queries to provide collection metrics in support of analytic products and provide collection capability training to junior analysts. Successful Collection Managers will also possess specialized HUMINT collection management skills and a working knowledge of SIGINT, OSINT, and other intelligence collection management. Collection Managers will be expected to demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills and be able to collaborate closely with government and contractor personnel.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience supporting HUMINT operations or a related field
  • Experience in intelligence research and analysis
  • Excellent critical thinking skills, high attention to detail, and sound operational judgement
  • Strong organizational, writing, and briefing skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance and Polygraph

Preferred Requirements:
  • Client certification as a Collection Management Officer (CMO)
  • Experience using client-specific databases to monitor traffic and communicate with overseas offices
  • Overseas experience supporting collection operations and information sharing including in high threat areas
  • Foreign language skills
