BUSINESS OPERATIONS ANALYST

Location: Houston, TX

Job Type: Full-Time

POSITION SUMMARY

The Business Operations Analyst supports the management of point-of-sale (POS) assets, including branded coolers and freezers, across our retail network. This role is responsible for coordinating the complete lifecycle of company-owned assets—from request and delivery to maintenance, tracking, and recovery—while working closely with Sales, Logistics, Trade Marketing, and external vendors.

This position requires strong organizational and analytical skills. The ideal candidate enjoys working with data, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving operational improvements in a fast-paced Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage and process freezer requests submitted by the Sales team.
  • Coordinate deliveries of display freezers with internal Logistics teams and third-party transportation providers.
  • Track inventory and maintain accurate records of company-owned POS assets.
  • Verify the proper installation, branding, and asset identification of coolers and freezers at retail locations.
  • Coordinate maintenance and repair requests with external service providers.
  • Monitor equipment movement, inventory accuracy, and asset condition through regular audits.
  • Manage equipment recovery from retail locations and evaluate returned assets for refurbishment or disposal.
  • Review invoices and support accurate billing and cost allocation.
  • Prepare reports and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), including delivery timelines, maintenance activity, and asset utilization.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Trade Marketing, and Logistics teams to improve operational efficiency and reduce process delays.
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows and asset management processes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis and reporting.
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace, including Google Drive and Google Sheets.
  • Experience using CRM, ERP, or field management systems such as Repsly, Salesforce, or similar platforms is preferred.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in business operations, logistics coordination, administrative operations, or trade marketing support.
  • Experience in the Food & Beverage or Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry is highly preferred.
  • Understanding of inventory control and fixed asset management principles.
  • Familiarity with third-party logistics (3PL) coordination and retail distribution processes.
  • Experience coordinating multiple projects and managing large volumes of operational data.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with remote field teams.
