About the Role:

Taco Cat Games (“Taco Cat”) is seeking an early-career Business Operations Specialist to carry out business transactions with our retail customers. The ideal candidate will have several years of experience working with small businesses in an operations role. As the Business Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for fulfilling and invoicing orders for small to medium-size retailers, supporting our sales and marketing teams, and monitoring our direct-to-consumer eCommerce business.  


Job Details

Title: Business Operations Specialist

Location:  Hybrid – at least three days per week in-office at the Clayton, Ohio location

Ideal Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree and/or 5 years of business experience.

Hours: 40 hours/week

Salary: commensurate with experience

Benefits: 401(k) plan, Medical, Dental, and Vision plans, PTO


Essential Duties:

Business Operations (80%)

·      Perform day-to-day business operations tasks, including processing orders, invoicing, and general customer service for small and mid-size retail stores.

·      Monitor the direct-to-consumer (eCommerce) business and provide customer service as needed.

·      Regular documenting and reporting on retail sales and direct-to-consumer operations

·      Align inventory planning with the operations and sales teams

·      Work with our warehouse partners to meet retailer-specific requirements to ensure timely shipping and avoiding chargebacks

·      Protect our IP by working with 3rd party sellers to minimize counterfeit products

·      Maintain local stock for supporting Marketing and trade show needs


Business Development Support (20%)

·      Work with the Marketing and Sales team to provide insights from the warehousing and fulfillment perspective of the Taco Cat Games business.

·      Support Marketing and Sales as they bring new accounts online

·       Excellent organization and time-management skills

·       Understanding of basic business and accounting principles and retail practices

·       Motivated problem solver, with strong ownership of job function  

·       Be able to work with creative team in a small business environment

·      Proficiency in Microsoft/Google Office software

·      Inventory planning and forecasting
