The National Institute of General Medical Sciences (NIGMS) is seeking a Business Operations Analyst to provide expert analysis and strategic advice on business operations, grants administration, and organizational processes. The incumbent evaluates business practices and operational performance to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance with NIH and federal policies while supporting leadership in managing a nationally recognized biomedical research portfolio.Qualifications:You qualify at the GS-13 level, if you meet the following qualification requirements:
You must demonstrate in your resume at least one (1) year of qualifying experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector, performing the following types of tasks: (1) Analyzing business operations, organizational processes, or management systems to identify issues and recommend improvements to organizational performance and effectiveness. (2) Conducting business or program analyses using qualitative and quantitative data to evaluate operations, assess risks, and provide recommendations to management. (3) Interpreting and applying Federal laws, regulations, policies, or guidance related to business operations, grants, or financial assistance programs to support organizational or program objectives. (4) Tracking action items, monitoring follow-up activities, and coordinating across organizational components to support effective business operations and executive decision-making. (5) Providing high-level operational support to senior leadership by preparing briefing materials, agendas, summaries, and official records of discussions.
