Job description

Great Lakes Integrated Network, IPA is looking for a full-time Business Operations Analyst to join the team in Buffalo, New York!

The Business Operations Analyst is responsible for the oversight, collection, maintenance, and validation of GLIN provider network data and for providing reports and analyses for internal and external business partners

Scope of duties includes but not limited to; data management; data validation; development, deployment and analysis of reports, supporting both Payer & Provider Contracting and Finance & Analytics teams.

The position requires that the individual be highly organized, detail oriented, have strong Excel skills, & some experience with query languages such as SQL. The position requires collaboration with other GLIN departments and external healthcare partners such as physician practices, hospital systems, and health insurance companies, problem solving/decision making skills, and strong business acumen.

Essential Functions:

  • Consistently observes safety and security procedures. Reports potentially unsafe conditions to appropriate personnel.
  • Manage, maintain, and validate GLIN’s provider network roster, including physicians, mid-levels, ancillary providers, and facilities, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and timely updates; perform routine provider data updates
  • Review and reconcile health plan and health system rosters submitted to GLIN IPA, updating records as necessary to maintain network accuracy
  • Collaborate with provider system partners to collect, manage, verify, and integrate provider data into the GLIN system to ensure GLIN provider data accuracy
  • Prepare and deliver monthly provider roster reports for payers, as well as ad-hoc reports upon request, using SQL and as needed.
  • Support provider enrollment and compliance for government programs, including: provider/practice communications, requirements tracking, deadline management, preparation of annual and monthly submissions, and production of agreements, attestations, and provider/practice correspondence to meet regulatory standards.
  • Develop and foster internal relationships across the organization. Provide ad hoc analytic and consultative support to internal departments and external business partners as requested
  • Support maintenance of practice-level reference and contact information (e.g., decision-makers, payment contacts, practice managers, credentialing leads) to support effective communication.
  • Perform additional responsibilities and projects as assigned.
  • Support and at times lead special projects and ongoing performance improvement, growth, and population health initiatives across the enterprise
  • Support distribution of standard provider contracts and contract notifications to the GLIN network via Docusign as needed.
  • Under supervision, supports the creation & implementation of methodologies using multiple techniques to forecast the financial performance of value-based contracts
  • Provide reasoning for variances and make recommendations relative to the accounting of reserves, assets, ad expenditures

Education and Experience/Certification or License:

Education

  • Associates Degree Business Administration or IT Systems Required
  • Bachelor’s Degree Bachelor’s degree in business or related field or comparable work experience with a healthcare, business, or technical focus Preferred

Experience/Certification

  • Experience working in operations within a health care provider office or a health insurance company preferred.
  • Knowledge of current and future trends in health care reimbursement, & population health preferred.
  • PC skills - demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and project management software, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project required

The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job’s compensation range and determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, and expertise of the individual, as well as internal equity considerations.
