Must Have:
  • Bachelor's degree or proven experience in business administration, operations and management, project management, or another related field
  • Direct applicable experience in business operations analysis or project management.
  • Understanding of business operations and procedures in a technical or data and analytics environment.
  • Budget management experience.
  • DevOps experience
  • Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written
  • Experience working in a cross-functional team environment with multiple and fluid demands
  • Ability to maintain effective and professional working relationships with internal and external customers

The Business Operations Analyst, within the Office of Data and Analytics (ODA), is primarily responsible for supporting the development and execution of business operations best practices across the department.
Work Responsibilites:
โ€ข Maintain robust tracking of all ODA budgets; complete all Finance deliverables on time and as requested.
โ€ข Assist with the creation and implementation of business operations strategies.
โ€ข Assist with developing and maintaining metrics and reports to track ODA's performance and efficiency.
โ€ข Assist with updating or drafting new job descriptions to ensure ODA positions are properly classified by SPD and team member duties are aligned with current operational needs.
โ€ข Collaborate with the CDO, Deputy CDO, and team directors to test and implement new systems or procedures to improve ODA's efficiency and workflow.
โ€ข Prepare detailed reports and presentations for leadership, showcasing findings and recommendations.
โ€ข Provide project coordination and communications support as needed for business operations projects.
โ€ข Adhere to HIPAA and other state statutes related to protecting data confidentiality and individual privacy.
โ€ข Support IDOH Data Transformation projects and activities, as requested.
