Job description

Jeniโ€™s is looking for a highly analytical and detail-oriented Retail Analytics & Forecasting Specialist (CPG) to join our Supply Chain team. This role is responsible for collaborating on demand plans across our Retail channels (Grocery, Natural, Mass, etc.) while also supporting ice cream allocations to our Scoop Shops.

This position requires both the art and science of forecastingโ€”blending data, intuition, and cross-functional collaboration to drive accurate demand plans in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. This is not a purely system-driven role; success requires strong business judgment, a deep understanding of trade dynamics, and the ability to continuously refine forecasts based on real-world performance.

The ideal candidate is data-driven, insights-obsessed, and a highly collaborative problem solver. This is a critical cross-functional role working closely with Supply Chain, Sales, and Finance. The right person will be able to clearly communicate insights, challenge assumptions, and build strong, data-backed support for decisions. A strong background in Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) is required, along with a working knowledge of allocation and S&OP processes. This position is based in Columbus, OH and follows a hybrid work schedule. Employees work remotely on Mondays and Fridays, and in the office Tuesday through Thursday.

OUR COMPANY: Jeniโ€™s Splendid Ice Creams is a modern American ice cream company dedicated to making better ice creams and bringing people together. Founded in 2002 by James Beard Award-winning ice cream maker Jeni Brittonโ€”who introduced a modern, ingredient-driven style of ice cream making that revolutionized the industry, forever changing the way ice cream is madeโ€”Jeniโ€™s has emerged over the past two decades as the new standard by which all other ice creams are judged. Today, the creative-led, community-spirited company is a certified B Corporation with 80 scoop shops (and counting), an online shop with nationwide shipping at jenis.com, and distribution in top grocery stores across the country.

OUR MISSION: Team Jeni's is a nationwide team of people who bring their talent, hustle, guts, resilience and empathy (lots of heart, too) to making better ice creams and bringing people together. Working at Jeni's means devotion to service. Serving by caring about ourselves, each other, our communities, ice creams and customers. We are a force for good!

The Retail Analytics & Forecasting Specialist (CPG) responsibilities will include:

  • Formalize and Lead a monthly S&OP Process that will create consensus on a forecast and trade planning with our Sales team

  • Have a working knowledge of Demand Forecasting with the ability to translate it into the Modus System

  • Directly manage the relationship with our system provider (Modus). This includes the maintenance of Modus (i.e. Seasonality inputs, pricing changes, etc.), being the expert on the tool and teaching others best practices

  • Develop reporting tools

  • Partner with Sales to assess trade effectiveness, optimize customer plans, and inform future strategy. Make recommendations and ask questions

  • Support annual planning processes with bottoms-up customer analysis and scenario modeling

  • Identify learning opportunities as shipments actualize with the goal of a more accurate forecast

  • Partner to support Ice Cream Allocations

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in business, finance, statistics, data analytics, or supply chain or similar work experience

  • 3-5 years of demand forecasting experience

  • Experience in or comfort with fast-paced, high-growth companies

  • Understanding of retail and trade math, including pricing structures (EDLC, OI, MCB).

  • Consumer Packaged Good industry knowledge; Knowledge of syndicated data tools (Spins, Nielsen, IRI).

  • Strong analytical/problem solving skills - ability to analyze and process data as well as communicate a clear, compelling story from that data.

  • Skill proficiency in Excel, a continuous improvement orientation, and the ability to enhance current processes

  • Modus or other trade and sales forecasting software experience

  • Intellectually curious and highly detail-oriented. A self-starter with a strong sense of ownership

  • Outgoing, positive, collaborate with a strong sense of partnership interpersonal style

The position is eligible for the following benefits:

  • Competitive compensation
  • Excellent insurance (health, dental, vision)
  • Paid time off, including sick, vacation, and holiday pay
  • 401k participation and 4% match on 401k contributions after 3 months of employment
  • A one-month paid sabbatical after 3 years of continuous service
  • Annual paid day to volunteer for a non-profit organization that matters to you
  • 50% discount at Jeniโ€™s Scoop Shops and online

Jeni's is an equal opportunity employer. Said our way, we love and honor differences, and we love sharing common values such as talent, hustle, guts, resilience, and empathy. Our differences are a primary source of our team's strength and we crave having a team rich with diversity which is creativity and art in its human form.
