Job description

Jr Business Operations Analyst

The Business Operations Analyst provides comprehensive administrative, operational, and program support to the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) Regional Headquarters, Field Offices, and Directorates. This role ensures efficient office management, compliance with policies, and support for leadership and staff in areas such as records management, employee processing, correspondence, and metrics tracking. The position requires proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, strong organizational skills, and the ability to handle sensitive, classified, and controlled unclassified information (CUI) in accordance with DCSA policies and manuals.

Key Responsibilities:

-Handle day-to-day office management; provide support, track initiations, completions, analytical/portfolio assistance to reduce management burden.

-Maintain databases, spreadsheets, and files containing critical information, track suspense actions, workloads, facility assignments, and customer requests.

- Research, implement, and communicate DoD and DCSA policies and procedures using critical thinking and effective oral/written skills.

- Provide phone/desk coverage; coordinate calendars, schedules, travel bookings, and preparation of official correspondence (letters, memos, reports, data/metrics, staff summaries, classified documents).

-Create and edit documents including reports, spreadsheets, presentations, newsletters, brochures, letters, memos, and interoffice communications; draft from initial to final versions, ensuring accuracy in format, grammar, spelling, and policy conformance.

-Track internal/external actions via task management systems. coordinate training events; review Defense Travel System (DTS) submissions for leadership.

-Serve as POC for Regional Headquarters queries, monthly updates and special request from DCSA HQ and staff. Other duties as assigned for regional location.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: At a minimum high school diploma or equivalent. Two years of relevant experience.
  • Experience: 2 years of relevant business operations analysis and management support experience, or a similar role, preferably in government, defense, or security sectors.

Skills:

  • Proficiency Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong communication, critical thinking, and organizational and interpersonal skills.

Active Secret clearance: ability to obtain and maintain DoD security clearance required.

Other: Willingness to travel as needed (up to 10%); ability to work in a dynamic, mission-critical environment.
