Job description

Overview
The Kansas City, MO office of Lewis Brisbois, a full-service AmLaw 100 firm, is seeking an E-Billing Analyst with legal billing experience. The E-Billing Analyst will have excellent communication skills and a high level of professional service to clients, management, attorneys and other staff in order to effectively, efficiently and successfully troubleshoot E-Billing issues. The E-Billing Analyst must resolve all eBilling rejections, with the exception of any categories that fall under the biller's scope. The E-Billing Analyst will work with E-Billing vendor sites for E-Billing related to insurance defense and other matters; will research and resolve E-Billing related inquiries and discrepancies. This position will also assist and follow through with any ad hoc requests assigned by the Billing Management Team. While prior billing or ebilling experience is not required, experience in a law firm is required.

Responsibilities
Job Requirements/Qualifications:
  • High school diploma required; college level courses in Accounting or Accounting Degree are a plus.
  • 2 to 4 or more years hands-on billing experience preferably in a law firm environment, including 1 to 3 or more years electronic billing experience.
  • Demonstrate expertise in all areas of the E-Billing process
  • Aderant, Elite, LawTime (or equivalent) legal accounting software experience. BillBlast or eBillingHub experience a plus.
  • Strong technology and office skills, including advanced proficiency in Excel,
    Word and Outlook, and ability to create, edit, and present complex data,
    analyses and ad hoc reports.
  • Flexibility to adjust to varied situations and possibly work weekends or evenings as needed
