Billing Analyst (Contract)


Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Billing Analyst for a contract opportunity. This individual will support billing operations, analyze invoicing discrepancies, reconcile customer accounts, and assist with reporting and data validation. The ideal candidate has strong Excel skills, excellent analytical abilities, prior experience working in high-volume billing environments, and ability to work within eastern standard time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review, analyze, and process customer invoices accurately and timely
  • Research and resolve billing discrepancies, deductions, and payment issues
  • Perform account reconciliations and maintain billing records
  • Prepare and analyze billing, aging, and financial reports using Excel
  • Utilize VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, formulas, and large data sets for reporting and analysis
  • Partner with internal departments and customers to resolve invoicing concerns
  • Monitor billing trends and identify process improvement opportunities
  • Ensure compliance with company billing procedures and client requirements
  • Support month-end close and ad hoc reporting projects as needed

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of billing, accounts receivable, or billing analysis experience
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas, reporting)
  • Experience working in high-volume environments
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • ERP system experience preferred (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, etc.)
