Job Title: Billing AnalystJob Description
The Billing Analyst manages critical billing operations and supports accurate, timely contract billing for government and commercial clients. This role focuses on reconciling financial systems, monitoring unbilled inventory, and ensuring compliance with contract terms, customer requirements, and applicable regulatory standards. The Billing Analyst also performs reconciliations between accounting systems and supports monthly accrual processes to maintain financial accuracy and transparency.
Responsibilities
  • Manage current billing workload to ensure continuity of critical billing operations for government and commercial contracts.
  • Prepare, review, and process accurate and timely contract billing in accordance with contract terms and customer requirements.
  • Monitor and manage unbilled inventory to ensure timely conversion to billings and identify potential issues or delays.
  • Perform detailed reconciliations between accounting systems to ensure data accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
  • Support monthly accrual processes by providing accurate billing data, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
  • Ensure billing activities comply with contract terms, customer requirements, and relevant regulatory standards.
  • Utilize advanced Excel functions such as VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and complex formulas to analyze billing and financial data.
  • Prepare and maintain billing-related reports and financial analysis to support decision-making and forecasting.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders using Microsoft Teams, Outlook, and SharePoint to resolve billing issues and maintain clear communication.
  • Maintain organized and compliant billing documentation, including digital archiving and invoice compliance documentation using Adobe Acrobat and cloud-based storage solutions.
  • Assist in forecasting accounts receivable and billing trends to support financial planning and reporting.
  • Support continuous improvement of billing processes, documentation practices, and system reconciliations.
Essential Skills
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in billing, accounts receivable, or a closely related financial role.
  • Strong hands-on experience with accounts receivable, billing, invoicing, reconciliation, forecasting, financial analysis, and reporting.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including proficiency with VLOOKUPs, XLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, and complex formulas.

Pay and Benefits
