RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • As a Billing Associate, your primary responsibility is to oversee prescription insurance claims.
  • Adjudication of pharmacy claims with third party payers.
  • Contact third party payers for over-rides on denied claims.
  • Work with nursing staff to coordinate solutions on rejected claims.
  • Review Long Term Care facility files and reconcile any changes to resident's status (responsible party, admission, discharge, prescription coverage).
  • Work with residents and families to resolve billing issues.
  • Prior Authorization and review.
  • Processing Long Term Care facility returns.
  • Billing and organizing of Emergency kits.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Prior medical/pharmacy billing experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Availability to work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday between 8:00 am and 5:30 pm with a weekend rotation once every 3 weeks
