Qualifications:
  1. Effective communication and problem solving skills.
  2. Ability to problem solve in a fast paced work environment
  3. Ability to work collaboratively in an educational setting.
  4. Ability to multi task and meet realistic deadlines.
  5. Regular and predictable attendance
  6. Qualified to be employed as an Assistant Cook per Civil Service and NYS Education Department guidelines.
  7. Good knowledge of large scale food preparation and cooking
  8. Ability to sit, stand, bend and kneel for extended periods of time.
  9. Ability to lift and maneuver general kitchen equipment, materials and other objects as needed.

Responsibilities Shall include but are not limited to the following:
  1. Attend meetings as needed
  2. Follow directives (written, oral, electronic)
  3. General Assistant Cook assignments
  4. Prepares and cooks a variety of foods
  5. Assists with inventory and ordering food supplies
  6. Checks and stores food products received
  7. Maintains cleanliness in kitchen area
  8. Other assigned duties and/or responsibilities which may be deemed appropriate by the supervisors.
  9. Maintain Data Security as applicable.
  10. Maintain confidentiality with staff, students, and family information.
  11. Operate in a respectful, responsible manner

Salary: Minimum starting salary $16.39 per hour (negotiable based on experience), as per the Civil Service Employees Association agreement. Contracts can be found on the Victor Central School District website under the Human Resources tab.
