Job description

We are looking for a compassionate, reliable, and detail-oriented family assistant. We are a family of three in Land Park. Parents are both executives (mom works from home most days), and the child is elementary age.


You will work independently to manage home-related responsibilities, errands, and organization. Some childcare, including pick up/drop off, after-school snack, and homework assistance for our daughter.


Schedule choices:

  • Tues/Wed/Thurs: start between 7:30 and 8:30, end between 3:30 and 5 or
  • Mon/Tues/Wed/Thurs: start between 7:30 and 8:30, end between 3:30 and 5


Pay & Benefits:

  • $25 to start; negotiable for someone who has a lot of experience in a role like this

Compensation:

Responsibilities:

Duties:

  • Daily: school drop off/pick up; load/unload dishwasher; recycling/trash; household laundry; light meal planning & prep; tidy (no deep cleaning); bring in packages; let small dog outside; communicate with parents via text thread for questions/updates
  • Weekly: inventory & purchase household supplies & groceries, post-office/UPS as needed, inventory at mom's business office, water house plants
  • As needed: organize cabinets, fridge, children's areas; other organization projects; holiday wrapping/decor support; more childcare oversight during summer when child is not on trips or at camp; household or office projects when family is out of town and daily duties aren't needed

  • Ability to communicate effectively and honestly with children & parents
  • Phenomenal organization skills and a love of tasks & cleanliness
  • Comfort with working independently while mom (who is an introvert) works from home
  • Patience, compassion, and a nurturing demeanor
  • Drug free & a clean driving record
  • Basic first aid & CPR certification is a plus
