Job description

Are you a detail-oriented professional with experience in manufacturing, engineering support, estimating, or quoting? Adecco is looking for a Technical Solutions Engineer to join our team! In this role, you'll serve as the connection between customers, sales, engineering, and operations by preparing accurate manufacturing quotations and supporting business growth through exceptional customer service and technical expertise.

Schedule: 8:30am – 5:00pm, Monday-Friday

Responsibilities:

  • Review customer RFQs, drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.

  • Analyze manufacturing requirements, including materials, labor, machine time, tooling, finishing processes, and production costs.

  • Prepare accurate cost estimates and customer quotations using ERP systems, quoting software, and internal costing tools.

  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to validate manufacturability, production capacity, cycle times, and technical feasibility.

  • Partner with sales and account management teams to ensure pricing aligns with customer expectations and business objectives.

  • Maintain quote records, pricing history, revisions, and supporting documentation.

  • Communicate with internal teams regarding production capabilities, lead times, cost drivers, and quote revisions.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on quote accuracy, turnaround time, and process efficiency.

  • Ensure quote details are accurately transferred into production planning and order entry systems.

  • Monitor pricing consistency and escalate non-standard pricing requests when necessary.

  • Help drive customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, and revenue growth.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in Business, Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred (or equivalent work experience).

  • 2+ years of experience in manufacturing, estimating, quoting, customer service, inside sales, engineering support, or commercial operations.

  • Experience reviewing customer specifications, technical drawings, blueprints, or manufacturing documentation is highly preferred.

  • Understanding of manufacturing processes, production workflows, and cost estimating.

  • Experience using ERP systems, CRM platforms, or quoting software.

  • Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Advanced attention to detail with excellent organizational and time management abilities.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple departments.
