What is a technical solutions engineer?

A technical solutions engineer helps resolve customer issues with software or another technology product. As a technical solutions engineer, your job duties relate to the user aspects of a product or service. You interact with customers by walking them through the installation process, instructing them on how to operate the technology, and resolving any compatibility issues. You also collaborate with software and hardware development teams as needed to provide customer feedback. To succeed in this career, you need intimate knowledge of the product or service you work with as well as strong communication skills. Educational qualifications include a bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, or a related technical field. Experience with programming languages and troubleshooting tools is a plus.
