Our values in action

The ideal candidate is curious, collaborative, and always learning. In this role, you'll work with people across countries and technologies, share ideas openly, and help partners feel more confident navigating complex solutions.

What you'll do

  • Provide pre-sales consultation, technical enablement, training, and education to partners to help them build, enhance, and grow their practices with Ingram Micro.
  • Proactively introduce, demonstrate, and train partners on modern business needs, desired outcomes, market trends, emerging technologies, vendor solutions, and high-margin professional services.
  • Help partners become more proactive, profitable, and services-driven trusted advisors to their end-user customers.
  • Build trusted relationships with reseller and vendor stakeholders to support transparent collaboration, business planning, and growth.
  • Comprehensively educate partners on best-in-class IT solutions, with a focus on raising their technical proficiency and helping them win more business.
  • Understand each partner's sales organization, identify key decision-makers and technical stakeholders, and engage them with relevant guidance.
  • Provide thought leadership, strategic advice, and practical guidance that influences partners to invest in accelerating growth through Ingram Micro.
  • Partner closely with internal sales teams to support customer opportunities across cybersecurity, hardware, software, cloud, networking, infrastructure, and other advanced solution areas.

What you bring to the role

  • Experience in pre-sales engineering, solutions engineering, technical enablement, or technical consulting.
  • Prior experience with cybersecurity solutions, including hardware and software technologies, within a multi-vendor technology environment.
  • Ability to translate technical concepts into clear business value for partner sales teams, technical stakeholders, and decision-makers.
  • Interest in emerging technologies, market trends, vendor solutions, and high-margin professional services.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to earn trusted advisor status with partners, resellers, vendors, and internal teams.
  • General proficiency with the tools, systems, and procedures needed to perform the role, with the ability to consult with senior or specialist team members on more complex technical issues.
  • Advanced badges or certifications in cybersecurity, networking, infrastructure, or other advanced solution technology categories are preferred.
  • A four-year college degree, or additional related experience, with 3+ years of functional experience, including at least 1 year of role-specific experience.
