POSITION OVERVIEW

As the Technical Solutions Consultant, your role encompasses providing training on electrical grid apparatus application, attending trade shows, and promoting our solutions to customers within our designated service area. Collaboration with Account Managers to drive sales activities and ensure an effective sale and support strategy is also a key aspect of this position. The ideal candidate will either possess or be capable of acquiring knowledge in the following areas: Substation Apparatus, Distribution Equipment, AMI, Metering, Demand Response, Distributed Generation, Cyber and Physical Security, SCADA, Power Systems, UAVs (Drones), Utility Poles & Accessories, Tools & Safety products, or a comprehensive understanding of utility line hardware.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement a strategy for sales of utility electrical solutions and services that:
    • Adds value to our customers by ensuring their electric grid is properly maintained and supported through PLS products and services.
    • Enhances the safety culture of our utility customers and their contractors by educating them on the correct use and maintenance of solutions.
    • Supports the sales initiatives of the various account managers.
    • Reinforces and supports the initiatives and programs of our primary vendor partners.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations and sales proposals as required.
  • Attend trade shows as necessary to promote Power Line Supply solutions and programs.
  • Travel as necessary throughout the territory to build relationships with our customers and partners.
  • Demonstrate the proper use and maintenance of the solutions offered through the technical group.
