We are looking for an IT Support Specialist who enjoys solving technical problems, helping people, and continuously learning new technologies. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, technically curious, accountable, professional, and committed to continuous learning. They enjoy solving technical problems, helping people, and contributing to a fast-paced Managed Services environment. This is not a traditional helpdesk-only position. The selected candidate will have the opportunity to work with desktops, servers, Microsoft 365, networking, virtualization, cybersecurity, firewalls, cloud technologies, VoIP systems, and infrastructure projects while supporting clients across multiple industries.
The successful candidate will interact directly with clients, end users, vendors, and internal team members while delivering exceptional customer service and technical support.

Responsibilities and Duties:

The qualified candidate should possess a solid technical foundation and an understanding of modern IT infrastructure, including:

  • Networking and Infrastructure Support
  • Server and Desktop Administration
  • Active Directory and Microsoft 365

  • Routing, Switching, Firewalls and Wi-Fi

Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Client hardware and software support, new system setup and configuration, network connectivity, and scheduled on-call duties.
  • Provide network, application, phone system, and desktop support to the user environment.
  • Recommendations to management about needed improvements, upgrades, new products, and projects. Also, other duties and projects will be assigned by management personnel.
  • Manage network security equipment and software, e.g., firewall (SonicWALL), anti-virus and intrusion detection systems.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, solve and document network connectivity and performance issues.
  • Install, configure, manage, and support server infrastructure including physical and virtual servers (VMware/Microsoft), firewalls, switches, wireless networks, IP telephony systems, and related technologies.
  • Monitor network performance and optimize the network for optimal speed and availability.
  • Deploy, configure, and upgrade network software, such as enterprise antivirus or diagnostics programs.
  • Implement and maintain emergency backup and restore systems for mission-critical network servers.
  • Utilize and support Remote Monitoring & Management (RMM) platforms to proactively monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot client environments.
  • Demonstrate a strong willingness to learn and adapt to emerging technologies.

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or related field preferred. Equivalent professional experience may be considered for exceptional candidates.

  • 2-5 years of experience supporting desktops, servers, Microsoft 365, networking, VoIP systems, cybersecurity technologies, or related infrastructure platforms.
  • Experience in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment is a plus but not required
  • Experience with technologies such as Microsoft Servers, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, networking fundamentals, firewalls, switching concepts, wireless networking, virtualization, and IP Telephony is preferred. Training and mentorship are available for candidates with strong technical aptitude and a willingness to learn.
  • Working knowledge of systems administration, networking fundamentals, routing, switching, wireless networking, and network security concepts is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience configuring, deploying, troubleshooting, and supporting network infrastructure is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication, customer service, and technical documentation skills required.
  • Must be a self-starter, quick learner, well-organized, and detail-oriented.
  • Success in this role requires a combination of technical aptitude, strong troubleshooting skills, excellent communication, customer service, accountability, and a willingness to learn. The ideal candidate is comfortable working directly with clients, taking ownership of issues, documenting work thoroughly, and continuously expanding their technical knowledge.
  • Candidates should be comfortable working in a ticket-driven Managed Services environment, managing multiple priorities, and supporting clients across diverse industries.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required for authorized client visits.
