Information Technology (IT) Specialist

Our work depends on a solid IT Specialist joining our team to help our design, configure, install, verify, and maintain program WANs and LANs, and support data management and validation tasks.
HOW A SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
Provides expertise in compiling, arranging, storing and retrieval of information to facilitate support of the customer, project, or program. Administers, evaluates, installs, maintains and provides overall support for LANs and WANs. Provides Graphical User Interface (GUI) access to many databases, using the latest access tools available such as Java, CORBA, C++, etc. Designs, tests and implements interface programs, develops security procedures, and regulate usage. Performs planning, cost analysis and all aspects of large-scale projects. Designs, tests, and implements large scale LAN and WAN networks applications and troubleshoots problem areas. Coordinates network policy, procedures, and standards. Assists training of users.
WHAT YOULL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Education: Bachelors degree in Information Technology (IT) or in a related IT field
  • Required Experience: 3 years or more
  • Required Technical Skills: Network Management, Cybersecurity Fundamentals, System Administration, Data Management, Technical Support, Cloud Computing
  • Security Clearance Level: Public Trust
  • Required Skills and Abilities: Written and verbal communication, problem solving, self-starter, physical ability to perform installations in sometimes challenging locations
  • Preferred Skills: Highly collaborative, Comfortable working in research environment with partial or incomplete requirements
  • Location: On-Site
  • Must have or be able to obtain US Passport

The likely salary range for this position is $69,700 - $94,300. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
