Job description

One Federal Solution is seeking Junior IT Specialists to support the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) HSPD-12 Credential Issuance and Maintenance Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) and Identity, Credential, and Access Management (ICAM) program operations. The selected individuals will provide administrative and technical support to Government leadership and contractor personnel supporting nationwide credentialing operations and Administrative IT Support Services activities.

Junior IT Specialist Tasks and Duties:

  • Provide administrative and technical support to Government and contractor personnel supporting IRS ICAM operations.
  • Support documentation planning and project administration activities.
  • Provide general office support and coordination activities.
  • Support executive administrative functions and office operations.
  • Assist with workforce planning and coordination activities.
  • Support event planning and administrative activities.
  • Support office relocation planning and office transition activities as required.
  • Coordinate office administration and support activities in changing office environments.
  • Report directly to client personnel and support client operations as required.
  • Support Administrative IT Support Services activities and requirements.
  • Monitor and assess program performance measures and operational metrics.
  • Analyze workstreams and support process improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor compliance with mandatory administrative requirements.
  • Prepare presentations, reports, and briefing materials.
  • Facilitate meetings, workgroups, and collaborative sessions.
  • Support data management and analysis activities.
  • Record meeting minutes and maintain action item trackers.
  • Respond to email inquiries and support program communications.
  • Support contractor reporting requirements and documentation activities.
  • Provide support to IRS Headquarters personnel as requested.

Junior IT Specialist Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma is required. Four (4) years of directly related experience may be substituted in lieu of the education requirement.
  • Experience supporting administrative, technical, or program support activities.
  • Knowledge of HSPD-12 directives, PIV credentialing, FIPS 201, Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), and Federal Identity, Credential, and Access Management (FICAM) principles is preferred.
  • Experience supporting credential issuance and maintenance operations is preferred.
  • Experience using the USAccess system and supporting federal credentialing environments is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Fixed and Mobile Credentialing Units, Fargo printers, laptops, desktops, copier and multifunction devices, and Light Activation Kits is preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to work independently on assigned tasks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Access, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Excel is required.
  • PMP certification is preferred.
  • Must be available during Eastern Time business hours to support IRS meetings and reporting requirements.
  • Must be located within 50 miles of IRS Headquarters in Washington, DC.
  • Must be able to report on-site to IRS Headquarters as requested by the Government.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain IRS staff-like access under the IRS Minimum Background Investigation (MBI) standard, including a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI), tax compliance review, and credit check.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident in accordance with position requirements.
  • Must remain compliant with federal tax obligations.
  • Males born after December 31, 1959 must meet Selective Service registration requirements.
  • Must complete required IRS security training and maintain an active PIV or SmartID credential where applicable.
