You also collaborate with software and hardware development teams as needed to provide customer feedback. To succeed in this career, you need intimate knowledge of the product or service you work with as well as strong communication skills. Educational qualifications include a bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, or a related technical field. Experience with programming languages and troubleshooting tools is a plus.

How to Become a Technical Solutions Engineer

Many technical solutions engineers have a bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, computer programming, or a related discipline. But others enter the field without a degree and learn to program and troubleshoot through online courses and boot camps. The most important asset employers look for in a candidate is proficiency in the types of software used by the company and the ability to help clients work through any issues they have with the programs. You should have a mastery of a variety of platforms and programming languages, such as Node JS, Python, PHP, and Ruby. Additional qualifications include excellent communication and customer service skills and attention to detail.
