Summary:

The Sr. Account Manager maintains, grows and expands relationships with a broad range of assigned customers.  The Sr. Account Manager is responsible for growing sales, achieving sales budgets, developing and achieving account objectives. 

The Sr. Account Manager represents the entire range of company products and services to assigned customers and prospective customers.  They will ensure that the customer needs and expectations are met.          

Preferred Educational Experience:

  • B.S., M.E., E.E. college degree or equivalent business experience preferred.

Preferred Work Experience:

  • 3-5 years of sales experience in a commercial vehicle environment.

Essential Functions:

  • Ability to perform all safety critical functions.  The product must be built to the designated specs approved and can not be deviated or substituted. The control, performance and tolerance are essential for the part to function so that it does not jeopardize public safety or it’s compliance with government regulations.
  • Must be able to recognize and call the critical characteristic symbols as listed on the blueprints.
  • Establishes productive, professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer and prospective accounts.  Calls on prospective and current customers to sell current and new products.
  • Coordinates the involvement of company personnel and management resources to meet account performance objectives and customer's expectations.  
  • Responsible for identifying opportunities at customer’s location for additional Orscheln growth.
  • Communicates and interfaces with the customer’s organizations on matters concerning but not limited to contracts, pricing and future business opportunities.
  • Leads and directs Product Engineers to achieve account objectives.
  • Prioritizes the Product Engineers short term and long term activities at the customer.
  • Fully understand the account's current and future needs.
  • Account rationalization and channel management.
  • Create strategy and develop, manage and ensure realization of sales for the assigned accounts.
  • Contributes to the development of market segment plans, key projects and strategies.
  • Coordinates efforts with marketing manager, customer service, operations and engineering resources.
  • Meets assigned goals for profitable sales and manages gross margin.
  • Develops Business Case and ROI for significant opportunities and large business increments
  • Keeps records and makes reports on all phases of activities.
  • Monitors competitor activity.
  • Participates in related industry events, trade shows, councils and conferences.
  • Follow all 6S & Safety Guidelines - Safety, sort, straighten, scrub, standardize, & sustain
