Summary:
Under the direction of the General Manager, the Operations Manager will manage the overall operations of the branch including Inside sales, customer service, profit loss of the facility, office management, inventory management, and support the outside sales team.

Responsibilities of the Operations Accounting Manager include, but are not limited to:

Financial & Administrative Responsibilities

  • Profit and loss responsibility for the branch.
  • Prepare, monitor, and manage the center’s operating budget, including expenses and capital expenditures.
  • Track and report financial performance regularly, including P&L review, margins, and operating costs.
  • Oversee billing accuracy, collections follow-up, and vendor invoice processing.
  • Implement cost-control measures while maintaining service levels.
  • Provide monthly financial reports and forecasts to senior leadership.

Operations

  • Work closely with the branch Sales and Service Manager concerning branch decisions and internal purchases in order to maintain corporate goals and standards.
  • Work with corporate IT staff and local IT group to facilitate the branch computer, phones and technical needs.
  • Office management responsibilities -

- Manages performance of employees through task assignments, ongoing skill assessment and coaching

- Responsible for recruiting, retention, and administrative duties regarding employee relations while following company policies and procedures

- Event planning management

- Implement office policies and procedures

- Facilities Management

- General office duties such as filing, scanning, printing, office supplies

  • Manage the internal processes including but not limited to:

- Customer Service

- Purchasing

- Report Management

  • Immediate Supervisor for the following employees:

- Operations Assistant

- Shipping/Receiving

Qualifications of the Operations Accounting Manager include, but are not limited to:

  • 5+ years of experience in operations management and/or accounting management.
  • 3 years of distribution experience preferred but not required.
  • Strong financial acumen, with experience in budgeting and P&L management.
  • Familiarity with ERP or distribution software is a plus.
  • Strong people skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be a self-motivated team player.
  • Effective and proven leader.
