Position Overview:  

Join our dynamic team as a Planning Scheduling Manager at our facility located in Mount Vernon, Indiana. In this pivotal role, you will provide exceptional forecasting and planning services for our products. As a key player, you will manage all aspects of the Planning and Scheduling department, ensuring that all activities align with customer contract requirements and industry standards.

Your expertise will guide the development and review of procedures, determine procedures necessary to produce our high-quality products. You will play an essential role in coaching and leading the planners and schedulers to support all aspects of the business.

Your Day to Day as a Planning/Scheduling Manager:

  • Develop and integrate a facility-wide planning and scheduling program to maximize the utilization of resources to successfully meet scheduled deliveries.
  • Provides supervision to Planners, Schedulers and their assigned projects.
  • Leads multi-discipline meetings and schedule, decisions may be  based on varied and often conflicting information, objectives, and opinions.
  • Establishes and ensures execution of scheduled tasks, priorities, assignments to confirm that schedule is met.
  • Measures control progress and institutes proper status reporting procedures.
  • Develops recordkeeping, document controls and filing systems to keep information organized, accurate and accessible.
  • Serves as the liaison with management, other departments, and other facilities to effectively plan and schedule.
  • Monitors workflow to ensure all manufacturing plans are maintained in a consistent fashion while identifying resource constraints that may jeopardize commitments then develop solutions to overcome the restraints.
  • Ensures that requirements are communicated to all departments and work with the various managers to make sure the requirements are met.
  • Oversees and reports on the performance of the work using SAP and various other software programs.
  • Identifies critical path hardware and assists stakeholders with handling resources and tasks to meet the schedule.
  • Prepares and distributes detailed reports as needed in a timely and regular manner.
  • Reviews plant operations and recommend changes that will improve safety, efficiency, and cost effectiveness.
  • Prepares an annual budget for production control activities and reviews the department’s performance and effectiveness against the budget.
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of production control activities.
  • Formulates and specifies delivery promises for customer orders and maintains performance records with respect to delivery promises.
  • Coordinates and controls the requisitioning, expediting, usage and reporting of all raw materials, subcontract parts and purchased complete new hardware.
  • Coordinates the manufacturing and inspection hour loads for forecasting purposes.
  • Oversight of Inventory Control and Shipping/Receiving departments and personnel.

Required Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree and 5 years of supervisory/leadership experience or a technical degree and 7 years of supervisory/leadership experience 
  • Specifically require planning and scheduling experience.
  • Proficient with scheduling software, specifically Primavera P6, is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple priorities among various departments and personnel.
  • Excellent communications skills; written, verbal and interpersonal.
  • Well organized.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain DOE Clearance

 Pay: $99,000.00 - $157,000.00

The base salary range for this position in Indiana (US-IN) at the start of employment is expected to be between $99,000.00 and $157,000.00 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors, and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment. If hired, the selected job candidate will be employed 'at-will,’ unless employed at a location and in a position subject to a collective bargaining agreement.  The company further reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment, compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and other market factors.
