Job description

Job Summary:
Whatnot is the largest livestream shopping platform in North America and Europe, enabling sellers to build businesses across various categories. The Customer Success Engineer will work closely with enterprise sellers to design and implement custom integrations, ensuring their success on the platform through technical support and collaboration with internal teams.
Responsibilities:
• Partnering directly with enterprise sellers and their engineering teams to architect and implement bespoke integrations leveraging Whatnot’s APIs and platform capabilities.
• Acting as the technical bridge between customers and internal teams—translating seller needs into scalable solutions while collaborating closely with engineering, product, and account management stakeholders.
• Building durable tooling, workflows, and support infrastructure that help scale enterprise onboarding, integration support, and long-term customer success, including ~20–30% hands-on coding focused on developing scalable integration solutions and internal operational tooling.
• Solving complex post-sale technical challenges while helping define how Whatnot supports enterprise commerce moving forward.
Qualifications:
Required:
• 5+ years of CSE-related experience in high growth startups
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience
• Experience building bespoke solutions on top of an existing internal framework
• Excellent product instincts. You first think about users rather than the best technical solution
• Ability to work with customers directly, both satiating customer expectations as well and ensuring internal company strategic standards and goals are met
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Strong presentation skills and ability to articulate customer needs to engineering product teams
• Ability to take ownership of an ambiguous area and define and then drive impact
• Ability to flexibly work across multiple workstreams, thriving in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to understand complex customer success workflows and envision and build tooling to better support our bespoke system
Preferred:
• Experience in Shopify, Channel Advisor, Magento, and other ecommerce SaaS products a plus
