About the Opportunity
We are seeking a Human Resources Generalist who will primarily support core HR functions while gradually expanding into HRIS and process improvement initiatives. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people and solving employee-related challenges, but also has an interest in leveraging HR technology to improve efficiency over time.
Responsibilities
HR & Employee Relations
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for employee relations matters, providing guidance on policies, workplace concerns, and performance management
  • Conduct employee relations investigations and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
  • Partner with managers to support performance coaching, corrective actions, and employee development
  • Respond to employee inquiries through the HR Help Desk and provide ongoing HR support
  • Administer HR policies, procedures, and programs consistently across the organization
  • Support employee engagement initiatives and HR-driven programs

Onboarding & Offboarding
  • Draft and prepare offer letters for entry-level and co-op candidates
  • Facilitate onboarding activities and ensure a positive new hire experience
  • Conduct New Hire Orientation sessions
  • Coordinate regional offboarding processes, including exit procedures and documentation
  • Partner with recruiting and onboarding teams to ensure seamless employee transitions

Compliance & Administration
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
  • Conduct employee background checks required for customer projects
  • Provide safety statistics and insurance documentation for customer prequalification requirements
  • Audit HR processes, analyze findings, and recommend corrective actions as needed

HRIS, Reporting, & Process Improvement
  • Assist with maintaining and improving HR systems, including HRIS, ATS, and help desk platform
  • Troubleshoot workflow and process issues within the HR technology stack
  • Identify inefficiencies in HR workflows and recommend process improvements
  • Partner with HR leadership to document, standardize, and enhance HR processes across functions
  • Support HR reporting needs and basic analysis of HR metrics
  • Participate in system implementations, upgrades, and enhancements

Cross-Functional Support
  • Own end-to-end HR invoicing processes, including processing, tracking, and reconciling HR-related expenses
  • Partner with HR counterparts on departmental and cross-functional projects
  • Provide general support to the HR department and assist with additional duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of applicable experience preferred.
  • Ability to work a hybrid schedule.
  • Willingness to undertake assignments involving unfamiliar subjects, with the aptitude to learn quickly.
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Office 365 applications.
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Skilled in collecting, analyzing, organizing, and reporting information.
  • Strong interest in HRIS technology process automation.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Strong team collaboration.
  • Highly motivated to work independently and productively.
  • Knowledge of HCM and ATS systems is desirable. ADP and iCIMS experience preferred.
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without RoviSys sponsorship.
