BASIC PURPOSE: 

The Employee Relations Intern provides administrative and project support to the Employee Relations team while gaining practical experience in human resources, workplace investigations, employee advocacy, policy administration, performance management, and compliance. This position assists with employee relations initiatives, research, documentation, reporting, and special projects while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.

The intern will partner with HR professionals to develop an understanding of employment laws, workplace investigations, conflict resolution, corrective action processes, and employee support programs. 


MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
   Assist Employee Relations team members with case management, documentation, and administrative support activities. 
   Support workplace investigations by organizing records, gathering information, maintaining investigation files, and preparing documentation under HR guidance. 
   Assist with employee relations projects focused on engagement, communication, policy administration, and workplace culture initiatives. 
   Research HR and employment-related topics and summarize findings for Employee Relations team members. 
   Observe and participate in employee relations processes to gain exposure to conflict resolution, performance management, corrective action, and workplace concerns. 
   Assist with tracking employee relations metrics, reporting, and trend analysis. 
   Support ADA accommodation, unemployment, leave administration, and employee complaint processes through administrative and documentation support as appropriate. 
   Maintain confidential employee information in accordance with company policies and applicable laws. 
   Assist with creating training materials, presentations, and communication resources for leaders and employees. 
   Participate in HR team meetings, training sessions, and professional development activities. 
   Support special projects and other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: 

Education: 
   High School Diploma or Equivalent
   Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Organizational Leadership, or a related field. 


Experience: 
   Prior customer service, leadership, volunteer, campus organization, or administrative experience preferred. 
   Demonstrated interest in Human Resources or Employee Relations
