Commercial Contracts Associate (NDA)
This Role
As a Commercial Contracts Associate (NDA), you will work on a high impact team that provides important services to Norm Law's clients, while using AI agents to streamline the drafting, review, and execution process in providing non-disclosure agreement review for clients. You'll collaborate closely with partners, clients, and technology teams to deliver efficient, precise, and data-driven legal services for in-house legal teams of leading asset managers.
Our practice embraces the use of AI to reduce burden and increase your ability to focus on strategic legal judgment and client engagement.
In this role, you'll support:
  • Document Drafting & Review: Leverage AI agents to generate, compare, and redline NDAs tailored to client guidelines
  • Incorporating Legal Context: Work with clients to advise them on their NDA playbooks and provide guidance on market standards, including ensuring AI agents understand each client's specific context.
  • NDA Execution: Integrate AI agents into workflow management, execution, negotiation, and coordination with counterparties for any NDAs.
  • Client Advisory: Partner with clients to demonstrate how AI-assisted workflows improve accuracy, transparency, and velocity.
  • Collaboration with Tech: Work closely with the technology teams to continue to make the NDA review process even more efficient using AI.

Skills & Experience:
  • Juris Doctor (JD); active bar admission in New York.
  • 3-6 years of experience reviewing NDAs or similar agreements.
  • Strong drafting and communication skills; meticulous attention to detail.
  • Interest in applying technology to enhance traditional deal workflows.

What Success Looks Like:
  • 30 Days: Learn firm AI platforms; begin supporting the commercial contracts team using AI-enabled review and drafting.
  • 60 Days: Independently manage discrete components of NDA review with AI support.
  • 90 Days: Lead AI-augmented workstreams in live NDA reviews, improving efficiency and accuracy in document management and execution processes.

Comp and Benefits
$170,000 - $200,000 per year

Within the range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including job-related skills (as uncovered during the interview process), experience, and relevant education or training.
