@Orchard LLC is seeking an experienced Grants Finance Specialist to support a highly visible NOAA program. This position is contingent upon contract award.
The Grants Finance Specialist provides specialized financial and administrative support for grant programs. This position evaluates financial information within grant proposals, compiles financial review documentation, and supports the grants review and award process.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Review financial components of grant applications for completeness and accuracy.
  • Identify discrepancies, omissions, or inconsistencies in grant financial documentation.
  • Compile financial evaluation information for grants review committees.
  • Maintain financial tracking spreadsheets for grant proposals and awards.
  • Support grant review panels by preparing financial summaries and evaluation materials.
  • Manage grant panels by providing guidelines to panelists, setting up meeting spaces, providing access to grant proposals, providing onsite support during panel reviews, and maintaining confidential reviewer information.
  • Manage requests for continuations, no-cost extensions, and renewals against applicable regulations and guidance.
  • Assist with grant program reporting and financial documentation requirements.
  • Coordinate with grants managers to ensure compliance with NOAA grant policies.
  • Maintain records and documentation associated with grant review processes.
Requirements
Required Skills & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, grants administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience supporting federal grants management or financial review.
  • Familiarity with federal grant processes and proposal evaluation procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and financial analysis skills.
  • Experience managing large volumes of grant documentation.
  • Proficiency with spreadsheet analysis and financial tracking tools.
