We are looking for an experienced Contracts Attorney to support a busy commercial contracting function for an organization in the IT software industry. This long-term Contract position focuses on advising the business on software and services agreements while helping teams move deals forward efficiently and responsibly. The role requires a strong grasp of SaaS and commercial contract terms, along with the ability to provide practical legal counsel that supports business objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and negotiate high-volume commercial agreements, including SaaS, services, sales contracts, and NDAs
- Manage contracts end-to-end, ensuring efficient turnaround aligned with business timelines
- Partner with sales and business leaders to deliver practical, growth-oriented legal guidance
- Advise on software licensing (SaaS and on-premise) with a focus on market standards and risk allocation
- Collaborate cross-functionally with finance, HR, and other teams on contract-related issues
- Provide clear, business-friendly guidance on legal terms and negotiation positions
- Support contracting strategy for services tied to software and SaaS offerings
- Enhance templates and processes to improve consistency and efficiency across deal flow

- 100% remote
- 6+ month contract
- Pay up to $55/hr
- Full time 40-hour work week
• Active license to practice law and demonstrated experience working as an attorney on commercial contract matters.
• 3+ years of experience drafting, reviewing, redlining, and negotiating commercial agreements in a software or SaaS environment.
• Experience handling software licensing agreements, including SaaS and traditional on-premise arrangements.
